There is no Embassy or Consulate of the Dominican Republic in Dhaka, Bangladesh. Applicants must apply through the nearest Dominican Republic Embassy located in New Delhi, India.

Tourist Visa Requirements

• One completed Visa Application Form with a 2×2 inch passport size photo (white background, no lenses/accessories)

• Travel itinerary and hotel reservation

• Letter from the bank providing:

  • Date of account opening

  • Annual average balance for the last year

  • Date of last deposit
    (Note: Bank statements are not accepted)

• Police Clearance Certificate

• Original passport and photocopies of used visa pages

• Visa Fee: BDT 8,250, payable via Demand Draft in favor of Embassy of the Dominican Republic, payable in New Delhi

• If invited by a friend or relative:

  • Invitation letter

  • Copy of inviter’s ID or residence card

  • The letter must be notarized and legalized by Procuraduría General de la República Dominicana

Business Visa Requirements

• Cover letter from the applicant’s company explaining the purpose of travel

• Police Clearance Certificate

• Letter from the bank providing:

• Original passport and copies of visa-used pages

• Visa Fee: BDT 9,750, payable via Demand Draft in favor of Embassy of the Dominican Republic, payable in New Delhi

• If invited by a company in Dominican Republic:

  • Invitation letter in Spanish, notarized and legalized by Procuraduría General de la República Dominicana

Important Notes

• All documents must be submitted in English or Spanish, or accompanied by certified translations

• Handwritten documents are not accepted – all documents must be typed

• Photos must be 2×2 inches, white background, without lenses or accessories

• Residence and business visas are issued only in the applicant’s country of origin or legal residence

Q: Can Bangladeshi citizens get a visa on arrival in the Dominican Republic?
No, Bangladeshi citizens are not eligible for visa on arrival. You must apply in advance through the Dominican Republic Embassy in New Delhi, India.

No, only a formal bank letter is accepted with specific details: date of account opening, average balance, and last deposit.
